If we were having coffee I would invite you in to look at all the new books I’ve purchased, seventeen in total. Some might say that is a little excessive, but I think not. There are millions, possibly billions of different books out there and I have made it my life’s mission to read them all. Well, maybe I won’t be able to read all of them, but I’ll certainly die trying. So, I’ll be reading the final two books in the Miss Peregrine’s trilogy, the final two books in The Magician’s trilogy (see my review on book one), an assortment of stand alone novels, as well as the complete works of H. P. Lovecraft. Some of these I’ll be reading for the challenge while others I’ll be reading for the fun of it. What’s in your bookcase this year?
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I’ve decided to learn one new fact each day. I’m writing them all down on my daily planner. It’s been a fun and rewarding exercise so far, I’ve even been inspired with a few story ideas.
This weekend I plan on writing some more of my novel and perhaps I might even jot down some ideas for the above mentioned stories. I’ll also complete a few more lessons from James Patterson’s masterclass.
It’s another hot day here, so I’ll be keeping cool inside away from the sun. But I’m not complaining, I’ll take scorching hot over bitterly cold any day!
I hope you all have a fantastic week and I look forward to having coffee with you again next weekend.
