If we were having coffee I would tell you that I had a wonderful breakfast this morning. I was up early, the town was quiet, and the birds were my only company. Oh, Smoochie was there too. You remember her don’t you? Big, black, fluffy thing. So, I’m sitting outside and have just bitten into my apple, one of those really big, green, juicy ones, when Smoochie sees me and decides she wants to share, because what cat doesn’t lovely an apple? I mean she pulled out all the stops with this one. Wide eyes – check. Loud purr – check. Limp paw on Mum’s leg to indicate weakness from starvation though I’ve already had breakfast and gone back for seconds, thirds, and fourths – check. She was very disappointed with me when I didn’t share and stalked off in disgust to lay underneath the apple tree. Message sent and received.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I’ve had one of those weeks where I did a heap of things, yet nothing has been accomplished. At the beginning of the week I planned two blogs posts, they were ready just waiting to be written, but never were. I’m going to try to carve out some time this weekend to write them, so keep an eye out for them.
I have spent some time writing my novel and have a dot-point outline for the next two chapters. It has changed quite a lot from my original idea and even from when I first started it. I’m pleased with how it’s turning out so far, though there is still a lot more work to be done.
If we were having coffee I would ask how your weeks been? Did you enjoy that book you were reading? How did the cupcakes turn out? Is there a video of you screaming you head off when you went sky diving? Wait, you didn’t go sky diving? Hmmm, I must have dreamt that one.
