If we were having coffee I would tell you that this week has been a big one.
Firstly, today is my 23rd birthday. I’m having a wonderful day at home with my family. We are going to have a tea party with chocolate cake, watch movies, and have hot dogs for dinner. It’ll be a nice, simple day, which is just how I like it.
Mum and Dad took me to my favourite bookshop in Norwood on Wednesday and told me to pick out the books I wanted. So, I got The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman, The Little Book of Speculation by Erika Swyler, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas, and Literary Wonderlands: A Journey Through the Greatest Fictional Worlds Ever Created by Laura Miller. We went to my favourite Chinese restaurant and Mum and Dad told me that there is another part to my present. They want to buy me a nice fountain pen for my writing. We are looking for a shop that sells the right sort and will go and pick one out when we find it. So, I’ve been well and truly spoiled!
In other exciting news, I’ve been appointed Prose Editor of a new anthology called Cauldron Anthology. We are currently accepting submissions, so if you’re interested or know someone who is, please have a look. The first issue is themed Sirens. I’m looking forward to working on the anthology and helping writers achieve their best work.
Next week I’ll be working on my thesis to get a head start. I’ve been having a bit of trouble coming up with an idea (you can read more about that here). I’m pleased to announce that I know have an idea, which is growing fleshier by the day.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. I look forward to reading your Weekend Coffee Shares. A big thank you to Part-Time Monster for all your work in hosting the link up. I also want to thank our new host Nerd in the Brain for taking over my favourite blogging link up.
Until next week my friends.
