Review: Mexico by Josh Barkan

Purchase from Angus & Robertson Bookworld

Raw, gritty, and unashamedly honest. That is how I would describe Mexico.9781101906293.jpg

Barkan’s collection of short stories is one of the best I have ever read. I couldn’t put it down. I was engulfed by his poignant words.

Barkan is a true master of storytelling.

From El Chapo, to journalists, to immigrants, Mexico has it all. The stories don’t hold back, they don’t sugar coat, they enlighten.

If you are going to read one book this year, then I recommend it be this one. The collection is unforgettable and will be remembered as one of the greatest short story collections in history.

It truly is remarkable. I was and still remain transfixed by Barkan’s words.
