If we were having coffee I would welcome you back and tell you it’s wonderful to see you all again after my long absence. I’m saddened to say that it has been one billion years since my last blog post. You see, a lot has happened since we last spoke. I’ve been unwell, having problems with my computer (my new one has now arrived – yay!), and I’ve been just too darn busy! Well, excuses aside, let’s catch up on what’s been happening.
I’ve just completed my Bachelor of Arts (Creative and Critical Writing) and I have been accepted into the Master of Arts (Editing and Publishing) program. As some of you may remember, I’ve struggled to work out exactly where it is I want to be and how to get there. Eventually I decided to combine my love of writing and my interest in editing and now here I am.
I’ve been busy working on issue two of Cauldron Anthology. (Check out issue one here if you haven’t already done so.) Submissions for issue two are still open until the 16th of July, so send us what you’ve got because we’d love to read it!
Into The Well has just closed submissions for the first issue, which will be published later this year (yay!). Submissions for the second issue are now open. The theme is The Fairy Market, which I am s-u-p-e-r excited about.
Harley (a.k.a. Handsome Harley) is just as adorable as ever. I’m pleased to announce that he has achieved his goal of becoming friends with Smoochie (a.k.a. Come-Near-Me-And-I’ll-Smack-You-On-The-Head Smoochie Cat).
I’ve been up to a bit of writing, a bit of reading, a bit of mischief (wait, that can’t be right, I’m never mischievous), but mostly I’ve been trying not to tire myself out. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been unwell for quite a while, but I appear to be on the mend. I think part of my problem is that I’ve taken on too much (wait, no I would nev… I can’t even finish that obvious lie) and I’ve worn myself out. So, from now on I’m going to try to not take on as much, though I am well aware that I will most definitely fail miserably at this. You probably won’t hear as much from me as you did before I went on my, um, *cough* hiatus, but you’ll still hear from me.
Oh, and don’t forget to check out the wonderful Abi’s interview of a certain somebody (*hint* it was me).
I think this is where I shall say goodbye for now, but don’t fear, you’ll see me when I pop into your place for some coffee.
Thank you Nerd In The Brain for hosting the link-up.
